Eligibility

To be eligible for the program, applicants must have completed 10+2 (Higher Secondary) in any stream with a minimum aggregate of 50% from a recognized board. Admission is based on an entrance test followed by a personal interview.


Overview

B.Sc. in Gaming is a three-year undergraduate programme designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills to become successful game developers. The programme focuses on game design, programming, and production, and provides students with the opportunity to develop their own games. Students learn the fundamentals of game design and development, including game mechanics, user interface design, game engine programming and game production. They also gain experience in game design and development through hands-on projects and industry-standard tools. The programme culminates in a capstone project, where students create their own game from concept to completion.

Course Highlights
  • Apply techniques and methods in the production of industry-standard game-art animation assets, game prototypes and documents
  • Create compelling game content for multiple gaming applications, including triple-A, serious, casual and mobile games, utilizing industry-standard tools and software
  • Implement game assets to execute the production of a game within a team setting
  • Apply appropriate skills necessary for proper project production, planning and management of computer and video games
  • Deploy a comprehensive knowledge of the historical, cultural, sociological and psychological aspects of computer games to engage with an audience
  • Lead or participate in an interdisciplinary team-oriented game production project
  • Engage with gaming industry best practices to enable and entrepreneurial position in the gaming marketplace
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the gaming industry, including the design, development, and marketing of video games
  • Acquire the technical skills and knowledge needed to design, develop, and implement gaming software and applications
  • Develop the ability to create, analyse, and evaluate gaming systems and components, including game mechanics, graphics, sound, and artificial intelligence
