The School of Computer Science and IT at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) was established in 2007 with the primary goal of aligning academic outcomes with evolving industry standards and fostering impactful research. The school comprises two departments: the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology and the Department of Animation and Virtual Reality.
The programmes offered by the departments focus on linking theory and practice by providing a strong foundation in core and advanced computer science concepts to students. It endeavours to shape and develop students into skilled professionals with practical knowledge of various technologies and the digital space. The school focuses on creating a contemporary understanding of many dimensions of the IT field and provides the students with up-to-date knowledge of the latest trends.
The state-of-the-art facilities and computer laboratories provide adequate competencies in programming and software development in various computer languages. The School of Computer Science & Information Technology is also a centre for research, and its research programme covers a broad spectrum of areas, providing students with a wider scope of knowledge and a deeper understanding of computer science and its applications.
