Eligibility

The qualification required to apply for the program is a minimum of 50% marks in the respective bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. Students who are pursuing final year bachelor’s program are also eligible to apply.


Overview

JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) offers M.Sc in Animation to prepare students for the animation industry. The course teaches students the art of breathing life into characters, various concepts about visualization, imagination, sketching, coloring techniques through which they can bring out the expression and essence of the characters. It trains them to showcase their creativity and imagination and to develop the right aptitude.

The animation industry has developed a good hold over movies, games, and advertisements emerging as a primary entertainment industry. This field has become one of the most attractive careers for youngsters. Every year, there is a demand for more than 30,000 animators. Although, it is mainly dominated by the West, it has now found a new business hub in Asia with India being a major contributor with budding modelers, layout artists, story board writers, special effects creators, image editors, lighting artists, 2D and 3D animators.

Animation uses a combination of technology, science, engineering, mathematics, design and art to create realistic action packed games. Besides the entertainment industry, video game designers create interactive games for the mobile technology industry, education, advertising and marketing, web design, and many businesses. There is a huge scope for this field open to you after completing post-graduation.
