Eligibility

A pass in 10+2 in Arts, Science and Commerce stream with a minimum of 50% overall aggregate from a recognised board followed by an entrance test and a personal interview

Overview

B.Sc. Animation is a three-year undergraduate programme that provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to become successful animators. The programme focuses on the fundamentals of animation & VFX, such as character design, storyboarding, 3D modelling, and animation techniques. Students learn how to create and animate characters, objects, and environments for film, television, video games, and other forms of digital media. The programme also covers topics such as digital video editing, sound design, VFX and interactive media. Upon completion of the programme, students will be prepared to work in the animation industry as animators, directors, and producers.

This field has become one of the most attractive careers for youngsters. Every year, there is a demand for more than 30,000 animators. Although, it is mainly dominated by the West, it has now found a new business hub in Asia with India being a major contributor with budding modelers, layout artists, story board writers, special effects creators, image editors, lighting artists, 2D and 3D animators.
