To enhance professional readiness and global employability, the programme incorporates Career Enhancement Programmes alongside the core curriculum. Students have the opportunity to earn industry-recognised certifications such as Essential Skills in Generative AI for Creatives by Adobe and LinkedIn, and Build Your Generative AI Productivity Skills by Microsoft and LinkedIn. These credentials provide structured, practical exposure to AI-driven creative workflows and contemporary digital tools.
The certifications focus on applied skills in Generative AI, including prompt engineering fundamentals, generative design, content automation, digital productivity techniques, and collaboration on cloud-based platforms. Students gain hands-on experience translating these tools into real-world creative tasks, from ideation and asset creation to workflow optimisation and content production.
Beyond technical expertise, the programme emphasises professional branding and portfolio development. Students learn to showcase AI-enhanced projects, optimise their LinkedIn presence, and present their work in ways aligned with industry expectations. This ensures graduates are not only technically competent but also visible and credible within the global creative community.
Through this integration, the Career Enhancement Programmes prepare students for emerging roles across animation, gaming, visual communication, media production, digital marketing, and AI-enabled creative industries. Graduates leave equipped to navigate AI-augmented workflows, collaborate effectively in professional environments, and deliver innovative solutions that meet the demands of a rapidly evolving creative economy.
Visual Storytelling and Concept Development
Develop the ability to interpret scripts and ideas into compelling visual frames using strong foundations in drawing, composition, and narrative structure. Graduates are prepared for roles such as Visualiser Artist, Concept Artist, Storyboard Artist, and Background Artist.
3D Modelling, Texturing, and Asset Creation
Gain production-ready expertise in creating characters, props, and environments through modelling, sculpting, UV mapping, and shading workflows. These skills lead to positions including 3D Artist, Prop Modeller, Character Modeller, Character Artist, Shading Artist, and 3D Generalist.
Character Rigging and Performance Animation
Build technical and artistic proficiency in rigging systems, body mechanics, facial animation, and expressive character performance. Graduates can work as Animator, 2D Animator, 3D Animator, Senior Animator, Animation Designer, and Senior Rigging Artist.
Lighting, Rendering, and Look Development
Learn to shape mood, depth, and realism using advanced lighting setups and rendering techniques within structured production pipelines. Career pathways include Lighting Artist, Senior Digital Lighting Artist, and Look Development Artist.
Compositing and Visual Effects Integration
Understand multi-layer compositing, matchmoving, and foundational simulation workflows to seamlessly integrate animation elements into final frames. This prepares students for roles such as Compositor, Senior Compositor, and FX TD.
Production Coordination and Pipeline Execution
Develop the ability to manage assets, coordinate sequences, and optimise workflows within studio environments. Graduates can progress into roles such as Production Coordinator, Team Lead, and Pipeline TD.
Supervision and Studio Leadership
Strengthen creative direction and production oversight capabilities required for large-scale animation and VFX projects. With experience, graduates can advance to positions such as Animation Supervisor, VFX Supervisor, Compositing Supervisor, FX Lead, Line Producer, VFX Producer, and Studio Head.
Independent Animation Practice
Build a professional portfolio and the capacity to deliver end-to-end animation projects independently. Graduates may establish freelance careers as Animators, 3D Artists, Concept Artists, or specialised digital lighting and compositing professionals, with growth aligned to expertise and output quality.
The programme is a four-year undergraduate degree (eight semesters) offered under NEP guidelines, with pathways in Honours and Honours with Research, comprising 172 credits and progressive studio-based learning.
No prior experience is required. The programme begins with foundational art, design, and digital media training in the first year. Students from non-related backgrounds may undertake prescribed bridge courses.
