About The School of Computer Science and IT  

The School of Computer Science and IT, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) was established in 2007, with the primary goal of aligning academic outcomes with evolving industry standards and to foster impactful research. The school consists of two departments: the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology, and the Department of Animation and Virtual Reality. The programmes offered by the departments focus on linking theory and practice by giving a strong foundation on core and advanced computer science conceptsto the students.It endeavours to shape and develop the students into skilled professionals with practical knowledge of the various technologies and digital space.The school focuses on developing a contemporary understanding of many dimensions of the IT field and provides the students with up-to-date knowledge of the latest trends. The state-of-the-art facilities and computer laboratories provide adequate competencies in programming and software development in various computer languages. The School of Computer Science & Information Technology is also a centre for research and the research programme of the school covers a broad spectrum of areas that gives the students a wider scope of knowledge and a deeper understanding of the computer science and application fields.
